    教材特色:
    听说教程:(一)编排体例:听力训练部分以日常生活情景为线,每个单元涉及一个生活情景,每个情景按场景设计五段短对话和三段情景会话;口语训练部分提供三段情景会话,供课堂教学模仿。这样以情景推进的设计,使得学生由易到难逐步掌握具体情景下的句型模式,便于模仿训练,以举一反三而形成习惯。
    (二)情景选择:高职高专学生基础较差,采用情景设计,而不是以功能意念推进,容易开展教学活动,显得比较具体化。
    (三)文化背景:提供文化背景供老师和学生参考,对培养学生用英语交流的文化得体性具有重要意义,可以促进学生真正理解每个句子、每个词汇在英语文化环境中所包含的明确的文化信息。
    读写教程:
    (一)编排体例:每个单元由精读(两篇课文)、泛读(一篇课文和两篇练习)和写作训练组成。
    (二)题材选择:内容涵盖社会生活的各个方面,包括政治、经济、科普、历史、地理、人生故事、人物描写等,以最新的材料为主,语言简洁,反映语言发展的最新状况。(三)课后练习:覆盖课文涉及的主要语言点和语法内容,同时照顾高职高专学生的“高等学校英语应用能力考试”的题型,把备考和平时的学习结合起来。
    预备教程:
    (一)编排体例:主要分为两个大的内容,第一部分为入门课程,从字母和音标开始,注重语音的标准化训练;第二部分为句型训练,以语法点为点展开,每个单元涵盖一至二个语法点,以句型练习和会话的形式巩固。每个单元的课文也是注重语法的复习和巩固。可以说,预备教程更是基础英语的综合复习教程。
    (二)题材选择:句型选择以语法点为线,配备的对话练习紧密结合日常生活,课文以70至150词之间的短文为主,包括幽默故事、哲理短文、生活常识等。
    (三)词汇量:预备教程覆盖英语最基础的1000个词汇,是学习英语最基本的词汇,让基础差的学生不感到难学。

    作者简介

    总主编张道真:著名英语教育家、英语语法专家,原北京外国语大学教授,原深圳大学校长顾问。早年就读于美国哈佛大学和华盛顿大学,攻读英美文学,回国后任教北京外国语学院(北京外国语大学),曾担任培训部主任等职;从事英语教学和研究50余年,在英语语法和英汉翻译等领域具有高深的造诣和卓越的建树,是国内外公认的英语语法学权威和大师;先后撰写、编著了《实用英语语法》、《简明英语语法》、《现代英语用法词典》、《高级英语词典》、《自学英语》、《电视英语》等著作,并翻译出版《包法利夫人》、《乡下佬》、《十九世纪文学主流》等作品。
    总主编邱立志:广州行政学院副教授,华南师范大学增城学院副教授,广州外语协会秘书长。就读于华中师范大学和美国爱达荷大学(the University of Idaho);教学工作主要是本、专科和研究生公共英语课的教学和公务员英语口语教学工作,曾担任广州行政学院对外文化培训中心主任。
